Ortiz<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cerca de un\u00a037% de pacientes hospitalizados en Chile con COVID-19 han requerido Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI). Las medidas de aislamiento implementadas en UCI para evitar contagios (distanciamiento social, suspensi\u00f3n de las visitas), y el aumento en el n\u00famero de pacientes graves,\u00a0dificulta mantener una comunicaci\u00f3n fluida y constante entre pacientes, familiares y equipo de salud. Estas condiciones producen estr\u00e9s laboral y afectan la salud mental de pacientes, familiares y equipos. Se requieren nuevas estrategias que faciliten la comunicaci\u00f3n entre familiares, pacientes y equipo, que reduzcan el estr\u00e9s asociado con las barreras para comunicarse, y as\u00ed contribuir a amortiguar efectos en la salud mental a corto y largo plazo en todos ellos. Proponemos que una\u00a0estrategia de comunicaci\u00f3n precoz e integral\u00a0(ECPI) versus el cuidado est\u00e1ndar, disminuye la tasa de s\u00edntomas depresivos a los 3 meses post UCI, en pacientes con Covid-19 grave, sus familiares y el personal de salud. Dise\u00f1amos un ensayo cl\u00ednico aleatorizado en conglomerados, escalonado con 585 pacientes, a realizarse en 10 UCI de Chile.
